The Annual Holy Friday Retreat has become a St. Thomas tradition. All young people – from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade – are invited to attend on April 6th. Please be advised that Pre-Schoolers & Kindergarteners must be accompanied by a parent or another family member who will stay with their child throughout the session. No baby-sitting is available. The program begins at 11 am and concludes with the Service of the Descent from the Cross/Apokathilosis at 2 pm. Although there is no fee for this program, we do require that all participants pre-register by Palm Sunday, April 1st. Your prompt response will help us to plan for sufficient gifts, lunch and supplies for all. Most importantly, it will help to organize at arrival time and allow us to focus our attention on greeting the children and escorting them to directly to their group.
Permission slips, signed by Fr Christoforos, for an excused school absence will be available that day for any attendee who may need it. Any adults interested in participating and learning more about the Passion of our Lord should also register in advance. This is the most appropriate activity for such a solemn and holy day.
