The St. Thomas Hellenic School Year for 2019-2020 will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 4:30 PM with the Blessing of the Water Service.
To foster better communication between our school and the parents, our Hellenic School teachers are inviting the parents to join them for an open-house on the first day of class. After the blessing, you are asked to join your child in his or her classroom to meet the teacher and hear firsthand the goals, objectives and expectations for the upcoming academic year. During the open-house the teachers will discuss: classroom schedules, homework assignments, and methods that will be used to provide information to you about your child’s progress in our Hellenic School.
This year we are excited to announce the implementation in our curriculum of a unique e-learning platform (Ellinopoula.com) designed to make Greek for kids exciting by integrating fun games, engaging videos, and thousands of interactive educational activities with Greek Mythology, History, and Culture among others.
Registration for Saint Thomas Hellenic School for 2019-2020 will be open Thursday, June 20th until Friday, August 23rd through the Saint Thomas Website ONLY (www.goc-stthomas.com). A $50.00 late fee will apply for late registration from August 24th. The registration fees are as follows:
First child $475.00 Second child $425.00 Third child $400.00
Parents/guardians MUST BE members in good standing with their Stewardship pledge. Good standing means the Fair Share 2018 contribution is paid in full and Fair Share 2019 pledge must be received and fulfilled by a minimum of 2/3 the week before the beginning of Greek School.
