It is with great sadness and devastation that we inform you of the passing of our beloved parishioner, member of the Parish Council, chairman of the GREEK AGORA and friend, Alex Mastoris. His sudden passing is a great loss for all of us. Details of his funeral will be forthcoming. May his memory be eternal.

Με βαθειά θλίψη σας αναγγέλουμε τον αιφνίδιο θάνατο του πολυαγαπημένου μας Αλέκου Μαστόρη. Ο Αλέκος ήταν πιστό μέλος της Κοινότητάς μας, μέλος του Συμβουλίου, υπεύθυνος της ΑΓΟΡΑΣ και πάνω απ’όλα καλός σύζυγος, πατέρας, παππούς και φίλος.

UPDATE: OBITUARY

Alex C. Mastoris, age 71 of Medford on October 2, 2017. Beloved husband of Patti (nee Mullen). Devoted father of Marianne (Michael) Borrello of Medford, Dean Mastoris of Voorhees and Evan MacAdams of Brooklawn. Loving grandfather of Alex and Sophia. Dear brother of George (Amy) Mastoris of Mt. Laurel and Anthony (Margie) Mastoris of Easthampton. Also survived by sister in law Kathy (William) Reyers of Woodbridge, VA., mother in law Mary Mullen of Bellmawr and several loving nieces and nephews.

Alex was owner of Palace Diner of Berlin, NJ he previously owned Windsor Diner, Cherry Hill, Alex served the Church his entire life starting in St. George of Trenton where he started the Greek Orthodox Youth Association (G.O.Y.A.). In 1970 he became a member of St. St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill where he served many years. He served as Chairman of St. Thomas Greek Agora Festival, Vice-President of St. Thomas Church Parish Council and Treasurer of Delaware Valley Purchasing Group.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer St. Cherry Hill followed by funeral services at 12 p.m. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.

Τη Δευτέρα 2 Οκτωβρίου 2017, έφυγε από την ζωή ο αγαπημένος μας συνεργάτης και ενορίτης Αλέξανδρος Μαστόρης.

Η Εξόδιος Ακολουθία θα τελεσθεί στο Ναό μας την Τρίτη 10 Οκτωβρίου, στις 12.00 το μεσημέρι. Τη Δευτέρα 9 Οκτωβρίου, από 6.00 έως 9.00 το βράδυ (Τρισάγιο στις 8.00), καθώς και την Τρίτη από 11.00 έως 12.00 το μεσημέρι, θα βρίσκεται η σορός του στο Ναό μας προς προσκύνηση.

Αντί στεφάνων και ανθέων, η οικογένεια παρακαλεί να δοθούν δωρεές για τον ευπρεπισμό του Ιερού μας Ναού, εις μνήμην του Αλεξάνδρου.
